A través del decreto presidencial 1372/2008, publicado el 29 de agosto de 2008 en el Boletín Oficial, el gobierno argentino creó la Comisión Intersectorial de la Estrategia Marca País Argentina, formada por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y Comercio Internacional, la Secretaría de Turismo y la de la Jefatura de Gabinete de Ministros. En julio del año 2021 se seleccionó el último (y actual) logotipo mediante el Decreto 460/202. En la selección del mismo participaron compañías nacionales como el CONICET, Aerolíneas Argentinas, también la Cámara Argentina de Turismo y la Organización Mundial del Turismo. En el mismo decreto, el logotipo que representa a Argentina en el exterior se hizo oficial. Artículo 1 - Créase la "Marca Argentina", cuyo Signo Oficial será el isologotipo que luce en el Anexo que forma parte integrante del presente, la que permitirá homogeneizar la imagen nacional en el mundo. The first logo came from the Contest for the Visual Identity of the Argentina Brand, which took place in 2006 and included some of the best designers in the country. Through the presidential decree 1372/2008, published on August 29 in the official gazette, the national government created the Intersectoral Commission on the Argentine Country Brand Strategy, formed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, the Secretariat of Tourism, and the Secretariat of Media for Communication.
