The tallest building in the city is the Bank of America Corporate Center, which rises 871 feet (265 m) in Uptown Charlotte and was completed in 1992. It also stands as the tallest building in North Carolina and the 33rd-tallest building in the United States. The second-tallest skyscraper in the city is the Duke Energy Center, which rises 786 feet (240 m) and was completed in 2010. The Hearst Tower, completed in 2002 and rising 659 feet (201 m), is the third-tallest building in Charlotte. Nine of the ten tallest buildings in North Carolina are located in Charlotte.
