| - الثورة الليبرالية لعام 1820 (بالبرتغالية: Revolução Liberal)، كانت ثورة سياسية برتغالية اندلعت عام 1820. بدأت مع تمرد عسكري في مدينة بورتو، في شمال البرتغال، انتشر بسرعة وبسلام إلى بقية البلاد. أدت الثورة في عودة في عام 1821 من المحكمة البرتغالية إلى البرتغال من البرازيل، حيث فرّوا خلال حرب الاستقلال الإسبانية، وبدأت الفترة الدستورية الفترة التي تم فيها التصديق وتنفيذ دستور 1822. كان للأفكار الليبرالية تأثير مهم على المجتمع البرتغالي والتنظيم السياسي في القرن التاسع عشر. - La Revolució de Porto, també anomenada Revolució Lliberal de Porto, fou un moviment de tarannà lliberal que esclatà el 24 d'agost del 1820 a la ciutat de Porto i va tenir repercussions tant en la història de Portugal com en la de Brasil. El moviment va acabar amb el retorn (1821) de la Cort portuguesa, que es traslladà a Brasil durant la Guerra del Francés, i amb la fi de l'absolutisme a Portugal, amb la ratificació de la primera Constitució portuguesa (1822). - The Liberal Revolution of 1820 (Portuguese: Revolução Liberal) was a Portuguese political revolution that erupted in 1820. It began with a military insurrection in the city of Porto, in northern Portugal, that quickly and peacefully spread to the rest of the country. The Revolution resulted in the return in 1821 of the Portuguese Court to Portugal from Brazil, where it had fled during the Peninsular War, and initiated a constitutional period in which the 1822 Constitution was ratified and implemented. The movement's liberal ideas had an important influence on Portuguese society and political organization in the nineteenth century. (en)

Il débuta par une insurrection militaire puis s’étendit progressivement à tout le Portugal. Il aboutit au retour à Lisbonne, en 1821, de la famille royale, exilée au Brésil depuis 1808. Il marqua, par ailleurs, le début de l’histoire constitutionnelle du Portugal puisqu’il fut à l'origine de la convocation de Cortes constituantes et de l’élaboration de la première constitution du pays en 1822.
