| - Οι Κανόνες του Παιχνιδιού (αγγλικά:Laws of the Game) είναι κωδικοποιημένοι κανόνες που προσδιορίζουν το ποδόσφαιρο. Οι κανόνες αυτοί αποφασίζονται από το Διεθνές Ποδοσφαιρικό Συμβούλιο (IFAB) και δημοσιεύονται από το διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένο οργανισμό που διοικεί το ποδόσφαιρο, τη FIFA. Οι κανόνες αναφέρουν: τον αριθμό των ποδοσφαιριστών που πρέπει να έχει μια ομάδα, η διάρκεια του παιχνιδιού, το μέγεθος τους αγωνιστικού χώρου και της μπάλας, το είδος και της φύσης των παραβάσεων που μπορούν να τιμωρηθούν από το διαιτητή, τον κανόνα του οφσάιντ και πολλούς άλλους κανόνες που διέπουν το άθλημα.
