The Karawanken Autobahn (A 11) is an autobahn (motorway) in Austria. It runs about 21 km (13 mi) from the Villach junction with the Süd Autobahn (A2) and the Tauern Autobahn (A10) southwards to the Slovenian border, where it connects the A2 motorway leading to Ljubljana. It is part of the European route E61 from Villach to Rijeka. The A11 is named after the Karawank mountain range, which forms the Austrian–Slovenian border, crossed by the 7,864 m (25,801 ft) long Karawanks Tunnel opened in 1991.

Vägen är 21 kilometer lång och öppnades för ett körfält 1991 medan det andra körfältet öppnades 1992. På grund av att vägöppningen och tunnelöppningen 1991 sammanföll med Sloveniens självständighet, kontrollerades tunneln de tio första dagarna av den federala jugoslaviska armén innan slovenerna tog över kontrollen över tunneln på sin sida. Karawankentunneln är en 7,95 km lång enrörig tunnel med mötande trafik och avgiftsbelagd. På bägge sidorna återfinns passkontroller. (sv)

Die Karawanken Autobahn endet an der Staatsgrenze zu Slowenien in der Mitte des 7,9 km langen, bis zu dessen Gesamtfreigabe im Jahr 2026 noch einröhrigen, Karawankentunnel im Gegenverkehr, für den eine gesonderte Maut von derzeit 7,60 Euro pro Kfz direkt vor Ort oder als Videomaut zu entrichten ist und für den in den Stoßzeiten der Ferienreisezeit auch ggf. | - Dálnice A11 (německy Autobahn A11 nebo Karawanken Autobahn) je 21 kilometrů dlouhá rakouská dálnice. Začíná na křižovatce s dálnicemi A2 a A10 u Villachu a vede jižním směrem ke slovinským hranicím. Hraniční pohoří Karavanky překonává 7,9 km dlouhým stejnojmenným tunelem, ve kterém navazuje na slovinskou dálnici A2. Výstavba dálnice A11 probíhala zároveň se stavbou tunelu Karavanky na přelomu 80. a 90. let 20. století. Celá, 21 km dlouhá trasa byla zprovozněna 1. června 1991, přičemž úsek Villach – -Ost byl otevřen pouze v polovičním profilu (v plném profilu přesně o rok později). Z tunelu Karavanky byl realizován pouze jeden tubus pro obousměrný provoz, ačkoliv byl původně plánován se dvěma tubusy. (cs)
