John Hathaway Reed (January 5, 1921 – October 31, 2012) was the 67th Governor of Maine, holding office during the 1960s. He was once an Aroostook County potato farmer. Reed was a Republican who took office following the death of Governor Clinton Clauson.

(ru) John Hathaway Reed (5 janvier 1921 – 31 octobre 2012) fut le gouverneur du Maine de 1961 à 1967. Il fit ses études à l’Université du Maine puis servit dans la marine américaine lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. De retour au pays, il fut élu à la chambre des représentants du Maine en 1954, ne servant qu’un seul mandat avant d’être élu au Sénat de ce même État dont il sera aussi le président dans les années 1960. Nommé gouverneur du Maine afin de remplacer mort en poste, il fut réélu aux élections de 1962, l’emportant à l’arrachée. Il fut défait aux élections de 1966, le démocrate le remplaçant. (fr) John Hathaway Reed, född 5 januari 1921 i , Maine, död 31 oktober 2012 i Washington, D.C., var en amerikansk republikansk politiker och diplomat. Han var Maines guvernör 1959–1967. Reed utexaminerades 1942 från University of Maine och tjänstgjorde i fyra år i USA:s flotta. Efter andra världskriget var han verksam som jordbrukare precis som fadern som var en framstående potatisodlare i Fort Fairfield. År 2012 avled Reed i en ålder av 91 år på universitetssjukhuset i Washington, D.C. (sv)
