April 1976 in Bellevue GE, heimatberechtigt in Genf), bekannt als Jacques Chenevière, war ein Schweizer Dichter, Librettist und Romancier aus einer prominenten Genfer Patrizierfamilie. Er wirkte zugleich über sechzig Jahre lang als humanitärer Spitzenfunktionär beim Internationalen Komitee vom Roten Kreuz (IKRK), das in dieser Zeit dreimal mit dem Friedensnobelpreis ausgezeichnet wurde – so oft wie bis heute keine andere Organisation.
