Ivo Malec (30 March 1925, in Zagreb – 14 August 2019, in Paris) was a Croatian-born French composer, music educator and conductor. One of the earliest Yugoslav composers to obtain high international regard, his works have been performed by symphony orchestras throughout Europe and North America.

Malec erhielt seine musikalische Ausbildung in Jugoslawien und hatte schon eine Anzahl von Werken (darunter eine Sinfonie) komponiert, bevor er 1955 erstmals nach Frankreich kam. Nach Studien bei Olivier Messiaen ließ er sich 1959 in Paris nieder und kam im Folgejahr über Pierre Schaeffer zur Groupe de recherches musicales. Seither schrieb er neben Orchesterstücken zahlreiche elektroakustische Werke und Werke für Instrumente und Liveelektronik. 1972 wurde er Professor für Komposition am Conservatoire de Paris.
