Estudià a Milà, sent alumna de Lamperti i Italo Campanini, i posteriorment continuà els seus estudis a Viena. El març de 1889 debutà en els escenaris de l'Òpera Estatal de Viena amb el paper d'Amina en l'obra La sonnambula de Bellini. L'acollida del públic fou molt favorable. - Irene Abendroth, born as Irene Thaller von Draga (14 July 1872 – 1 September 1932) was an Austrian-Polish coloratura soprano singer. She was a pupil of Frau Wilczek. She was a member of the Vienna court opera in 1889, and she sang in Riga and Munich, and again in Vienna (1894-99). She was engaged from 1899 to 1908 at the Royal Opera in Dresden. (en)
- Irene Abendroth [á:b'ntro:t] właśc. Irene Thaller von Draga (ur. 14 lipca 1872 we Lwowie, zm. 1 września 1932 w ) – austriacka sopranistka i pedagog muzyczna. Śpiew studiowała w Wiedniu u i w Mediolanie. W 1888 r. odbyła debiutowy koncert w Karlsbadzie. Jednak prawdziwy debiut na scenie operowej zapewniła sobie rok później w wiedeńskiej Hofoper, gdzie występowała jako stała śpiewaczka od 1894 r. W okresie 1899–1908 koncertowała w operze drezdeńskiej, aby ponownie osiąść w Wiedniu i podjąć się działalności pedagogicznej. Miała w swym ulubionym repertuarze partie z oper Giuseppe Verdiego, Gioacchia Rossiniego, Vincenza Belliniego, Gaetana Donizettiego, Giacoma Meyerbeera i Wolfganga Amadeusa Mozarta.
