- Gustave Le Gray (30. srpna 1820 Villiers-le-Bel, Val-d'Oise, Francie – 30. července 1884 Káhira) byl jeden z nejvýznamnějších francouzských fotografů devatenáctého století. To vše díky jeho inovacím ve fotografických technikách, které byly tehdy velmi mladé, dále díky jeho roli učitele dalších známých fotografů a obzvlášť díky jeho velké představivosti. Byl oficiálním fotografem císaře Napoleona III. a císařské rodiny. Řadí se mezi významné fotografy druhé poloviny 19. století jako například Luigi Sacchi, Calvert Richard Jones, Firmin Eugène Le Dien, George Wilson Bridges, Giorgio Sommer nebo Giuseppe Incorpora. Nació el 30 de agosto de 1920 en la localidad francesa de Villiers-le-Bel (Val-dÒise), en el seno de una familia de comerciantes. Se licencia en Letras , pero estaba más interesado en el mundo del arte y en 1842 entró como alumno de de Paul Delaroche en la escuela de Bellas Artes y como copista del Louvre. En 1850 publicó su primer manual sobre el tema. Tratado práctico de fotografía sobre papel y sobre vidrio y sumaria otros 2 hasta 1954. (es)

Inventeur et artiste, il se distinguait par sa maîtrise de la technique photographique, au niveau de la composition comme au niveau de la lumière. Il introduisit en France l’usage des plaques au collodion humide, permettant des temps de pose rapides. (fr)
- Gustave Le Gray (Villiers-le-Bel, 30 augustus 1820 – Caïro, 30 juli 1884) was een Franse fotograaf uit de negentiende eeuw, invloedrijk vanwege zijn technische innovaties in de fotografie, zijn rol als leraar van andere bekende fotografen en de bijzondere verbeeldingskracht die hij gaf aan fotograferen. Op hetzelfde moment werkte Le Gray ook aan het collodiumprocedé, maar publiceerde niets hierover tot 1851. Zo kon het gebeuren dat de ontdekking van het collodiumprocedé werd toegeschreven aan Frederick Scott Archer die het procedé in 1850 ontdekte en er in 1851 over publiceerde. (nl)
- Gustave Le Gray, właśc. Jean Baptiste Gustave Le Gray (lub Legray) (ur. 20 sierpnia 1820 w Villiers-le-Bel, zm. 1882 w Egipcie) – francuski fotograf, wynalazca, pisarz. W latach ok. 1839-1843 uczył się w Paryżu malarstwa u i Paula Delaroche’a. Znane jest obecnie jednak tylko jedno jego dzieło malarskie (a dokładniej jego fotograficzna reprodukcja z 1854 r.) – rysunkowy portret Bénédicta Massona. W 1854 został jednym z założycieli Société française de photographie. W 1856 otrzymał zlecenie od cesarza na zrealizowanie cyklu zdjęć w obozie wojskowym w Châlons-sur-Marne. (pl)
