Guangzhou–Shanwei high-speed railway is a high-speed railway currently under construction in China. It will have a design speed of 350 kilometres per hour (220 mph) and is expected to open in 2023. The railway will shorten the journey between Guangzhou and Shanwei to one hour by avoiding Shenzhen. The services will use the Guangzhou–Shenzhen railway between Guangzhou East and Xintang. New line will be constructed with an design speed of 250 km/h between Xintang to Zengcheng South. The rest of the line between Zengcheng South to Shanwei has a design speed of 350 km/h.
