Die Preisträger erhielten zusätzlich eine Goldmedaille, in die ihr Name und die gewürdigte Leistung eingraviert wurden. Die letzte Vergabe erfolgte 2011, dann wurde die Vergabe – wie die des Gruber-Preis für Frauenrechte – eingestellt.
