Girdhari Lal Bhargava (11 November 1936 – 8 March 2009) was a member of the Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament) in India. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected six consecutive times for the Jaipur constituency of Rajasthan. He defeated Bhawani Singh by nearly 100,000 votes and thereafter had margins always above 100,000 votes.He was sometimes called 'scooter wale neta ji' He died on 8 March 2009 from a heart attack while he was visiting Ahmedabad.He was from a brahmin family

November 1936 in Jaipur; † 8. März 2009 in Ahmedabad) war ein indischer Politiker und Abgeordneter der Lok Sabha. Bhargav stellte sich 1989 zum ersten Mal zur Wahl, um den Wahlkreis Jaipur im indischen Parlament, der Lok Sabha, vertreten zu können. Er schaffte es, sich gegen seine Gegner durchzusetzen und konnte ein Mandat für seine Partei, die Bharatiya Janata Party, gewinnen. Bis 2004 trat er noch fünfmal im selben Wahlkreis an und schaffte es immer, sich gegen seine Herausforderer durchzusetzen. (de)
