Sir John Frederick Bridge CVO (5 December 1844 – 18 March 1924) was an English organist, composer, teacher and writer. From a musical family, Bridge became a church organist before he was 20, and he achieved his ambition to become a cathedral organist by the age of 24, at Manchester Cathedral. After six years there, he was invited to become organist at Westminster Abbey, where he remained for the rest of his career. He instituted several changes to modernise and improve the music-making at the Abbey and organised the music for several state occasions, including two coronations.

Bridge blev 1874 doktor i musik vid Oxfords universitet, var 1875–1918 organist vid Westminster Abbey, blev därjämte 1890 professor i musikteori vid Royal College of Music i London, 1896 dirigent för och 1902 professor i musik vid Londons universitet samt adlades 1897. Han komponerade kantater (Baodicea, Gallirrhoe), oratorier (Mount Moriah, Niniveh), hymner, orkesterverk med mera och författat musikteoretiska och andra skrifter. (sv) Frederick Bridge fou un compositor i organista anglès. El seu nom romandrà molt de temps en la memòria dels amants de la música religiosa i d'orgue. Bridge estudià amb John Goss. Entrà en el cor de la quan tenis sis anys, i continuà sent corista fins als quinze. Sis anys després fou nomenat organista ajudant. El seu segon lloc fou a l'església de la Trinitat, a Windsor, on va ser organista durant quatre anys, passant d'allà a Manchester per ser-ho de la Catedral.
