- Francisco Antonio Encina Armanet (September 10, 1874, San Javier – August 23, 1965, Santiago) was a Chilean politician, agricultural businessman, political essayist, historian and prominent white nationalist. He authored the History of Chile from Prehistory to 1891: with 20 volumes, it stands as the largest individual historical work of the 20th century in Chile.Additionally, he worked with Tancredo Pinochet, Guillermo Subercaseaux, Luis Alberto Edwards Vives and Luis Galdames Galdames as founders of the first Chilean nationalist party. Su extensa Historia de Chile desde la Prehistoria hasta 1891 fue un éxito de ventas y le hizo ganar el Premio Nacional de Literatura en 1955 (cuando aún no existía el Premio Nacional de Historia). Junto con Alberto Edwards y Jaime Eyzaguirre fue unos de los tres historiadores más leídos e influyentes durante el siglo xx. (es)
- Francisco Antonio Encina Armanet (Talca, 10 de setembro de 1874 — Santiago, 23 de agosto de 1965) foi um historiador, político e ensaísta chileno. Filho de Pacífico Encina Romero (1846-1900), deputado entre os anos de 1885 e 1894, e Justina Armanet Vergara, pertencente a uma importante família de fazendeiros que teve uma grande influência social e política na zona de Maule. Foi galardoado com o Prêmio Nacional de Literatura em 1955. (pt)
