| - Die European Liberal Youth (LYMEC, deutsch Europäische Liberale Jugend) ist ein Zusammenschluss liberaler Jugendverbände in Europa und gleichzeitig die Jugendorganisation der ALDE. Die Abkürzung LYMEC geht zurück auf die Ursprünge der Organisation in den 1970er-Jahren, als man sich noch „Liberal and Radical Youth Movement of the European Community“ nannte. - European Liberal Youth (abbreviated as LYMEC) is an international organisation of liberal youth movements – mostly the youth wings of members of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party but also individual members. LYMEC holds full members status to the European Youth Forum (YFJ). - LYMEC is de koepelorganisatie van liberale jongerenorganisaties in Europa. Officieel staat LYMEC voor Liberal Youth Movement of the European Communities, maar sinds de toetreding van enkele lidorganisaties van buiten de Europese Unie hanteert de organisatie het predicaat European Liberal Youth. De organisatie heeft sinds enige tijd een wettelijke status onder Belgisch recht en zetelt in de Montoyerstraat te Brussel, vlak bij het Europees Parlement. Zij werd opgericht in 1978, en haar eerste voorzitter was de Nederlander Gijs de Vries, voorheen de antiterrorisme coördinator van de EU. Lymec är ungdomsförbund till Alliansen liberaler och demokrater för Europa (ALDE), där bland annat Centerpartiet och Liberalerna är medlemmar.
