The Elephant's Rock is a large boulder of trachyte and andesite, eroded by the atmospheric agents that gave it the shape of an elephant. It is about 4 meters high. The rock is located near Castelsardo, Sardinia, to the left of the old road that led from the hamlet of Multeddu to the village of Sedini. The Elephant's Rock has a great archaeological importance, because two domus de janas, ancient tombs dating back to the pre-nuragic period, have been carved inside.

La roca, té una alçada al voltant dels quatre metres, està ubicada dins el terme municipal de Castelsardo a la localitat de al quilòmetre 4,3 de la carretera SS-134. Originàriament la roca formava part del complex rocós de monte Castellazzu. L'any 1914 el científic fou el primer a associar a un elefant l'original forma de la roca, que fins aleshores era coneguda, segons alguns documents oficials, amb el nom dialectal de Sap Pedra Pertunta (la pedra traforata). - Der Elefantenfels (italienisch Roccia dell’elefante) ist ein durch Verwitterung geformter, etwa 5 Meter hoher Felsbrocken, der aus einem geeigneten Blickwinkel betrachtet einem Elefanten ähnlich sieht. Er ist eine Sehenswürdigkeit Sardiniens und befindet sich etwa 5 Kilometer südöstlich von Castelsardo in der Metropolitanstadt Sassari. Der bizarre Fels war schon zu Zeiten der Nuragher (etwa 1800–750 v. Chr.) eine Kultstätte. Die vorzeitlichen Sarden trieben kleine Nischen in den Fels, in denen sie in Aschenurnen ihre Toten beisetzten. (de)

- Le rocher de l'éléphant (en italien : roccia dell'Elefante), est une masse rocheuse constituée de trachyte et d'andésite dont la forme rappelle celle d'un éléphant. Le rocher mesure environ 4 mètres de haut et est situé à Castelsardo — dans le hameau de Multeddu exactement — en Sardaigne. Le rocher a également une importance archéologique. En effet, deux domus de Janas d'époque prénuragique sont logés à l'intérieur. (fr)

La roccia, che ha un'altezza di circa quattro metri, si trova nel comune di Castelsardo in località Multeddu, al km 4,3 della SS 134 che collega il suddetto comune a Sedini.
