The Egyptian National Agricultural Library (ENAL) was established in 1996. One of four American national libraries, its other locations are Beltsville, Maryland and Washington DC. It offers one of the most expansive agriculture and related science data in the world. It is located on the first two floors of the Land Improvement Building in St. Dokki, Giza, spans 6,200 square meters and can seat close to 300 people. The ENAL is the link between all US Department of Agriculture field libraries and the national state land-grant network. In 1995 – backed by the NAL – the ENAL produced a CD-ROM of the Nicoll's Birds of Egypt of 1930. This 2 volume 700 page work was published through the National Agricultural Text Digitizing Program.
