Edna Schechtman (Hebrew: עדנה שכטמן) was an Israeli statistician, a professor emeritus of statistics at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She is best known for development (with Shlomo Yitzhaki) of statistical tools that utilize the Gini Mean Difference (GMD) (also known as the absolute mean difference and mean absolute difference) as the measure of association.
