| - Drop D tuning is an alternative form of guitar tuning in which the lowest (sixth) string is tuned down from the usual E of standard tuning by one whole step to D. So where standard tuning is E2A2D3G3B3E4 (EADGBe), drop D is D2A2D3G3B3E4 (DADGBe). Drop D tuning, as well as other lowered altered tunings, are often used with the electric guitar in heavy metal music. - Drop D-stämning är en alternativ stämning av gitarr. Man stämmer ner den låga E-strängen en helton till tonen D vilket ger stämningen e1 - b(h) - g - d - A - D. På så vis bildas ett så kallat powerchord när man lägger ett finger över de tre lägsta strängarna D, A och D (jämför barréackord). Stämningen används främst på elgitarr i tyngre former av rock, till exempel metal, hardcore, med mera. Drop D-stämning till akustisk gitarr används även inom den brasilianska choro-stilen. (sv)
- Die Dropped-D-Stimmung (auch Drop-D-Stimmung) ist eine Stimmungsvariante für Gitarren. Hierbei wird die erste Saite (E- oder Bass-Saite) gegenüber der Standardstimmung (E – A – d – g – h – e1) um einen Ganzton tiefer gestimmt, d. h. D – A – d – g – h – e1. Die Dropped-D-Stimmung wird in der Rockmusik und im Metal eingesetzt, insbesondere in den Bereichen Heavy Metal, Stoner Rock, Crossover, Metalcore und Nu Metal. Ein bekannter klassischer Gitarrist und Komponist, der einen Großteil seiner Stücke in Dropped-D schreibt, ist der in Deutschland lebende David Qualey. (de)
- Le drop D est un type d'accordage à la guitare faisant partie de la catégorie de l'accord ouvert. Il consiste à baisser d'un ton la corde de Mi grave, de façon à obtenir un accordage Ré-La-Ré-Sol-Si-Mi (DADGBE). En anglais, to drop signifie Tomber, laisser tomber tandis que la lettre D désigne la note obtenue : le Ré. Neil Young qui utilise fréquemment cet accordage joue aussi parfois en double drop D (Ré La Ré Sol Si Ré). En drop D, la même note est jouée sur la corde de Mi grave avec le doigt sur la 7e case que sur la corde de La (la corde du dessous) à vide. (fr)
- A afinação drop D, também conhecida como dropped D ou drop-D, é uma afinação de guitarra e baixo onde a corda mais grave (mi) é afinada um tom abaixo da afinação padrão (EADGBE), em ré. Ela pode ser representada, da corda mais grave para a mais aguda, como DADGBE ou no baixo como DADG. Como resultado da alteração, as três cordas mais graves formam um de ré. Esse powerchord pode ser transposto para qualquer outro, de forma rápida e fácil, utilizando-se apenas um dedo ao longo da escala. (pt)
