The Declaration of Internet Freedom is a 2012 online declaration in defence of online freedoms signed by a number of prominent organisations and individuals. Notable signatories include Amnesty International, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Reporters Without Borders, and the Mozilla Foundation, among others. The declaration supports the establishment of five basic principles for Internet policy:

Entre los firmantes se encuentran Amnistía Internacional, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Reporteros Sin Fronteras, y la Fundación Mozilla, entre otros. La declaración apoya el establecimiento de cinco principios básicos para política de Internet:
* Sin censura en Internet
* Acceso universal a redes rápidas y asequibles
* Libertad para conectarse, comunicarse, crear e innovar en Internet.
* Protección para nuevas tecnologías nuevas e innovadores cuyas innovaciones son abusadas por los usuarios.
* Derechos de privacidad y la capacidad para el usuario de Internet de controlar que información suya está siendo utilizada. La declaración empezó a ser traducida a través de un esfuerzo colaborativo iniciado por Global Voices en agosto de 2012 y para el término de la primera semana de agosto, se encontraba disponible ya en 70 idiomas, de los cuales casi la mitad fueron proporcionados por traductores voluntarios del Proyecto Lingua. * Universal access to fast and affordable networks
* Freedom to connect, communicate, create and innovate over the Internet.
* Protection for new technologies and innovators whose innovations are abused by users.
* Privacy rights and the ability for Internet user to control information about them is used. The declaration started to be translated through a collaborative effort started by Global Voices in August 2012 and at the end of the first week of August, it had been made available into 70 languages, almost half of which were provided by Project Lingua volunteer translators.
