David Katz (1 October 1884, Kassel – 2 February 1953, Stockholm) was a German-born Swedish psychologist and educator who specialized in Gestalt psychology and phenomenology. He was a professor Emeritus at the University of Stockholm. Prior to the establishment of the Nazi regime in Germany, he served as the chair of psychology and education at the State University of Mecklenburg in Rostock.

Formatosi a Gottinga, Monaco e Berlino, prima nel campo delle scienze naturali e della matematica, poi in quello della psicologia, fu assistente universitario a Gottinga fino al 1919 finché divenne professore di psicologia all'università di Rostock, dove rimase fino al 1933. All'avvento di Adolf Hitler, emigrò in Inghilterra e poi in Svezia, ove divenne direttore dell'Istituto di Psicologia dell'Università di Stoccolma, insegnandovi dal 1937 al 1951. Ha lasciato una traccia profonda negli studi di psicologia generale, ove vastissimo fu il suo campo d'interesse.
