Gemüsesorten werden mit Käse, Eiern, Pinienkernen, Pistazien usw. vermischt. Unter den Gewürzpflanzen dominiert Basilikum. Die bekannteste Zubereitung ist das Pesto alla genovese. Per storia, radici e soprattutto elementi che la compongono si può dire che quella ligure sia una delle migliori espressioni della cucina mediterranea. (it)
