Les appels de ses décisions sont entendus devant la Cour suprême du Canada. La Cour d'appel de l'Ontario a son siège dans le bâtiment historique Osgoode Hall, dans le centre de Toronto. Parmi les décisions les plus connues de la Cour d'appel figure la décision qui a mené à la légalisation du mariage entre personnes de même sexe en Ontario, en 2003.
