Christopher Andreas Holmboe (19 March 1796– 2 April 1882) was a Norwegian philologist, orientalist and numismatist. Holmboe was born at Vang in Oppland, Norway. He was son of parish priest Jens Holmboe and brother of mathematician Bernt Michael Holmboe. He attended the Oslo Cathedral School and graduated as cand.theol. in 1818. He was professor of oriental languages at the University of Christiania (now University of Oslo) from 1825 to 1876. He also served as warden of the University Coin Cabinet.

- Christopher Andreas Holmboe, född den 19 mars 1796 i , död den 2 april 1882, var en norsk språkforskare, sonson till Otto Holmboe, bror till Bernt Michael Holmboe. Holmboe blev student 1814 och avlade 1818. Därefter ägnade han sig åt studiet av österländska språk och höll från 1820 föreläsningar i hebreiska vid universitetet. Åren 1821–22 studerade han i Paris arabiska och persiska under Silvestre de Sacy samt nyarabiska under Caussin de Perceval. År 1822 blev han lektor och 1825 professor i österländska språk vid Kristiania universitet. Från 1830 var han styresman för universitetets mynt- och medaljkabinett, vilket han, tillsammans med F.L. Vibe och L.C.M. Aubert, grundlagt. År 1876 tog han avsked från professuren. Holmboe var medlem av flera kommittéer för undervisningsväsendets ordnand (sv)
