Charles Frodsham (15 April 1810 – 11 January 1871) was a distinguished English horologist, establishing the firm of Charles Frodsham & Co, which remains in existence as the longest continuously trading firm of chronometer manufacturers in the world. In January 2018, the firm launched a new chronometer wristwatch, after sixteen years in development. It is the first watch to use the George Daniels double-impulse escapement.

  • Charles Frodsham (* 15. April 1810 in London; † 1871) war ein englischer Chronometermacher. Bereits 1830 reichte er einen Marinechronometer zur Prüfung im Royal Greenwich Observatory ein und erzielte einen zweiten Preis. Ab 1834 war Frodsham Mitglied der Royal Society. Er übernahm 1843 die Firma in London. Frodsham war eine Zeit lang Vizepräsident des British Horological Institute und wurde 1845 Mitglied der Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. 1854 folgte die Ernennung zum Königlichen Hofuhrmacher und Hoflieferanten. Charles Frodsham fu un importante fabbricante di orologi di alta qualità e di cronometri, ultimo membro attivo di una famiglia che ebbe un ruolo di primo piano nell'orologeria londinese fin dalla fine del Settecento. Fu membro della Worshipful Company of Clockmakers. Nel 1840 divenne socio di John Roger Arnold (?-1843), erede dell'attività del più celebre padre.
