Charles Chao or Guowei Chao (Chinese: 曹国伟; pinyin: Cáo Guówěi)has served as the chairman of the board of directors since the inception of Weibo Corporation. He has served as the chairman of the board of directors of Weibo's parent company, SINA, since August 2012, and has been SINA's Chief Executive Officer since May 2006.He served as SINA's President from September 2005 to February 2013, Chief Financial Officer from February 2001 to May 2006, Co-Chief Operating Officer from July 2004 to September 2005.
