| - Η Τσανάν Νταγντεβιρέν (τουρκικά: Canan Dağdeviren, 4 Μαΐου 1985) είναι Τουρκάλα φυσικός και ακαδημαϊκός και κατέχει τη θέση του βοηθού καθηγητή στο Τεχνολογικό Ινστιτούτο Μασαχουσέτης (ΜΙΤ). Γεννήθηκε στην Κωνσταντινούπολη και είναι η μεγαλύτερη από τα αδέλφια της. Άρχισε την πρωτοβάθμια εκπαίδευσή της στο Ιζμίτ, και την τελείωσε στην Άδανα, όταν η οικογένειά της αναγκάστηκε να φύγει το 1999 από το Ιζμίτ λόγω του καταστροφικού σεισμού που σημειώθηκε εκεί. Από πολύ μικρή ηλικία ένιωσε έλξη για τις επιστήμες. Εμπνεύσεις της ήταν ένα βιβλίο με τη ζωή της Μαρία Κιουρί που της έδωσε ο πατέρας της, αλλά και ο πρόωρος θάνατος του παππού της (28 ετών από ανακοπή καρδιάς), όπου υποσχέθηκε στον εαυτό της, να φτιάξει ένα μηχάνημα να παρακολουθεί τέτοιες καταστάσεις. - Canan Dağdeviren (born May 4, 1985) is a Turkish academic, physicist, material scientist, and assistant professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she currently holds the LG Career Development Professorship in Media Arts and Sciences. Dagdeviren is the first Turkish scientist in the history of the Harvard Society to become a Junior Fellow in the Society of Fellows at Harvard University. As a faculty member, she directs her own Conformable Decoders research group at the MIT Media Lab. The group works at the intersection of materials science, engineering and biomedical engineering. Es la primera científica de nacionalidad turca en la historia de la Harvard Society of Fellows con el título de Junior Fellow. Dağdeviren dirige su propio grupo de investigación sobre decodificadores adaptables en el MIT Media Lab con el que trabaja en la intersección de la ciencia de los materiales y la ingeniería biomédica, creando sistemas electromecánicos que pueden integrarse totalmente con el objeto de interés de destino para la detección, activación y acopio de energía, entre otras aplicaciones.
