Bayhorse is a ghost town in Custer County, Idaho, United States, founded in 1877. After a new gold mine failed, silver was discovered in the area and a mine was started. Bayhorse was originally established by the silver mine. In 1976, the entire community was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The town property was purchased by the state in 2006 and opened to the public in 2009 as part of the Land of the Yankee Fork State Park.

  • Bayhorse is de naam van een verlaten gelegen in het midden van de staat Idaho (Verenigde Staten). Dit verlaten oord ligt in een klein diep ravijn. Later werd dit oord privéterrein en verboden voor bezoekers. Het bestaat uit verlaten en ingestorte houten gebouwen. Eind 1800 was het een levendig gebied vanwege de zilverkoorts. De plek heeft nog 6 niet-werkende houtskoolovens. Er was veel houtskool voor nodig om de intense hitte te produceren om het zilver en lood te doen smelten. Er staat tevens nog een oude molen.
