| - La Batalla de Cinoscèfales que es va desenvolupar en un lloc anomenat Cinoscèfales (en grec antic Κυνὸς κεφαλαί "Kynós Kephalai", literalment 'caps de gos') va ser una batalla ocorreguda l'any 364 aC entre les forces de Tebes manades per l'estrateg Pelòpides i l'exèrcit de Tessàlia dirigit per Alexandre de Feres. Pelòpides va morir en la lluita, però els tebans van guanyar la batalla. L'any següent, el general tebà Epaminondes va venjar la mort de Pelòpides amb una gran victòria sobre Alexandre de Feres. (ca)

- La bataille de Cynoscéphales (du lieu-dit Κυνοσϰέϕαλος : « tête de chien » en grec) eut lieu en Thessalie en 364 av. J.-C.. Elle s'inscrit dans la lutte de Thèbes contre les tyrans de Phères. Elle se solde par la victoire des forces menées par Pélopidas sur Alexandre de Phères. Pélopidas meurt dans la bataille mais sa mort est vengée l'année suivante par Épaminondas. (fr)

- キュノスケファライの戦い（英：Battle of Cynoscephalae）は紀元前364年にペロピダス指揮下のテバイ軍との僭主アレクサンドロス率いるテッサリア軍が戦った会戦である。 アレクサンドロスは勢力拡大を目論んで周辺諸国への侵略を行っており、テッサリアの国々はテバイに救援を求めた。そしてテバイからはペロピダス率いる軍が派遣された。 ペロピダスはかつてアレクサンドロスの元に無防備で交渉に行った時に捕えられ、それ以来アレクサンドロスを恨んでいた。ペロピダスはアレクサンドロスの姿を見つけるや否やアレクサンドロスめがけて突進したが、アレクサンドロスは味方の重装歩兵の後ろに隠れて逃げた。怒りに燃えたペロピダスはなおも彼を追ったため、深追いしすぎた。そして味方から孤立してしまい、敵の槍と矢を浴びて戦死した。しかし、この頃にはもはやテバイ軍の勝利が確定しつつあり、戦いはテバイの勝利に終わった。 この戦いも後もテバイはアレクサンドロスと戦い、最終的に征服地の返還とへの加盟、つまりテバイの従属的な同盟国になることを強いた。 (ja)

Bitwa miała złamać hegemonię uzyskaną w Grecji przez Teby po bitwie pod Leuktrami, ale nie przyniosła rozstrzygnięcia. Tebańczycy ponieśli jednak w niej niepowetowaną stratę – zginął ich wódz Pelopidas. (pl)
