  • Euskal jaiak, ingelesez eta Ameriketako Estatu Batuetan Basque Festival izenez ere ezagunak, jaialdiak dira. Euskal Herrian, XIX. mendearen bukaeran antolatzen hasi ziren Anton Abadiaren eskutik. Euskal diasporan maiz ospatu izan diren jaiak dira eta horrela ezagunak dira Reno, Boise eta Winnemuccan ospatzen diren jaialdiak, non euskal dantzak, Euskal Herriko gastronomia, herri kirolak eta abar erakusten diren. Egun, ospetsuak dira irailean Donostian, Ordizian eta Zarautzen ospatzen diren euskal jaiak. Euskal diasporan ere herrialde ugaritan ospatzen da. (eu)

Basque festivals are also celebrated in the Basque Country: Euskal Jaiak celebrations in September in Donostia and Zarautz are famous. Dates of basque festivals in the United States often correspond with a saint's day in the Basque Country. Early examples of Basque festivals date from the late 19th century, when the Lore Jokoak, or Basque Floral Games came into being in French-Spanish bordering areas of Navarre, Labourd, and Gipuzkoa, fostered and encouraged by Antoine d'Abbadie and other cultural figures.
