The Barbegal aqueduct and mills is a Roman watermill complex located on the territory of the commune of Fontvieille, Bouches-du-Rhône, near the town of Arles, in southern France. The complex has been referred to as "the greatest known concentration of mechanical power in the ancient world" and the 16 overshot wheels are considered the biggest ancient mill complex. Another similar mill complex existed on the Janiculum in Rome, and there are suggestions that further such complexes existed at other major Roman sites, such as Amida (Mesopotamia).

O complexo foi referido como "a maior concentração conhecida de potência mecânica no mundo antigo " e as dezesseis rodas de ultrapassagem são consideradas o maior complexo de moinho antigo. Sua capacidade de moer farinha alimentava cerca de 1/4 de Arles. Outro complexo similar de moinho existia também no Janiculum, em Roma, e há sugestões de que mais desses complexos existam em outros locais romanos importantes, como Amida. (pt)
- Het aquaduct en de molens van Barbegal is een watermolencomplex in de Franse gemeente Fontvieille nabij Arles. Het Romeinse complex uit de 2e eeuw n.Chr. vormde de grootste industriële site voor meelproductie in de antieke wereld. Het telde zestien molens in een patroon van twee rijen. Het water werd aangevoerd vanuit de Alpilles over twee aquaducten, één noordelijke van 50 km en één zuidelijke van 15 km. Beide aquaducten kwamen samen in Barbegal. Achter de molens liep de aquaduct van Pont-de-Crau, zodat ook de stad Arles van water voorzien was. (nl)
