| - تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي مصطلح يشير إلى تحليل شامل لبيئة زراعية، يُؤخذ في الحسبان فيه عدة جوانب على حد سواء، من الجانب البيئي إلى الجانب الاجتماعي إلى الاقتصادي إلى السياسي، وهلم جرًّا لكن المشكلة أنه توجد جوانب عديدة يجب وضعها في الحسبان، إلى حد أنه يستحيل –حرفيًّا– تناول كل منها. وهذه المشكلة واحدة من المشكلات التي تطرأ عند محاولة إجراء تحليل لبيئة زراعية. في ما مضى كان يمكن اللجوء إلى نهج تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي لتحديد مدى استدامة نظام زراعي ما. لكن صار بعد ذلك واضحًا أن «استدامة» أي نظام تعتمد اعتمادًا كبيرًا على تعريف الاستدامة الذي ارتضاه الراصِد المحلِّل. من أجل ذلك يُستعمل نهج تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي في جلب ثراء التعقُّد الحقيقي للأنظمة الزراعية إلى التحليل، لتحديد ما سيُعاد تشكيله في النظام (العموم، وبالإنجليزية: holon) بما يناسب كل حالة فردية على حدة. يُعد تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي أداة من أدوات الموضوع المتعدد التخصصات المعروف باسم «علم البيئة الزراعي» (إيكولوجيا الزراعة). إنّ تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي وعلم البيئة الزراعي شيء، والزراعة المستدامة شيء آخر، على الرغم من أن استعمال تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي قد يساعد على ضمان قابلية النظام الزراعي للبقاء والنمو. تحليل النظام البيئي الزراعي ليس شيئًا جديدًا، فالفلاحون والمزارعون يمارسونه منذ أن تحولت المجتمعات من الصيد وجمع الطعام إلى الزراعة والاستقرار في أماكن ثابتة. في كل مرة يضطلع فيها شخص مشارك في المجال الزراعي بتقييم وضعه لتحديد أنسب طريقة لجعل نظامه الزراعي يعمل على نحو يناسب مصالحه بصورة أفضل، فإنه يكون مُجريًا لتحليل نظام بيئي زراعي. There are many aspects to consider; however, it is literally impossible to account for all of them. This is one of the issues when trying to conduct an analysis of an agricultural environment. In the past, an agroecosystem analysis approach might be used to determine the sustainability of an agricultural system. It has become apparent, however, that the "sustainability" of the system depends heavily on the definition of sustainability chosen by the observer. Therefore, agroecosystem analysis is used to bring the richness of the true complexity of agricultural systems to an analysis to identify reconfigurations of the system (or holon) that will best suit individual situations. Agroecosystem analysis is a tool of the multidisciplinary subject known as Agroecology. Agroecology and agroecosystem analysis are not the same as sustainable agriculture, though the use of agroecosystem analysis may help a farming system ensure its viability. Agroecosystem analysis is not a new practice, agriculturalists and farmers have been doing it since societies switched from hunting and gathering (hunter-gatherer) for food to settling in one area. Every time a person involved in agriculture evaluates their situation to identify methods to make the system function in a way that better suits their interests, they are performing an agroecosystem analysis. En el pasado, se podía usar un enfoque de análisis de agroecosistemas para determinar la sostenibilidad de un sistema agrícola. Sin embargo, se ha hecho evidente que la "sostenibilidad" del sistema depende en gran medida de la definición de sostenibilidad elegida por el observador.
