Fondée en 1955, la communauté est toujours active. (fr) De abdij van New Clairvaux (Engels: Abbey of New Clairvaux) is een klooster van de trappisten in het landelijke in Tehama County, in het noorden van de Amerikaanse staat Californië. De abdij werd in 1955 gesticht door monniken uit de abdij van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-van-Gethsemani in Kentucky. Het landgoed behoorde ooit toe aan Leland Stanford en nu worden er pruimen, walnoten en druiven geteeld, die de monniken oogsten om hun gemeenschap van inkomsten te voorzien. Het klooster ligt uitzonderlijk afgelegen en rustig en er is heel weinig interactie tussen de kloosterlingen en de bevolking buiten het klooster. Gasten kunnen wel zeven keer per dag deelnemen aan de mis in de kapel. (nl) Kloster New Clairvaux (lat. Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Nova Clara Valle; engl. Our Lady of New Clairvaux Abbey) ist eine Trappisten-Abtei in , Nordkalifornien. Das etwa 33 km nordwestlich von Chico gelegene Kloster ist heute vor allem durch seinen Weinanbau und das Projekt „Sacred Stones“ bekannt, bei dem 800 Jahre alte Steine aus dem spanischen Kloster Óvila für die Rekonstruktion eines Kapitelhauses verwendet wurden. Am 11. Januar 2021 wurde Abt Dom Paul Mark Schwan nach 12-jähriger Amtszeit vom Konvent der Abtei für ein weiteres sechsjähriges Abbatiat im Amt bestätigt. (de)
