The tournament was held under the aegis of African Handball Confederation and acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship. - Het Afrikaans kampioenschap handbal vrouwen 2018 was de 23e editie van het Afrikaans kampioenschap handbal vrouwen, en vond plaats van 2 t/m 12 december 2018 in Brazzaville, Congo. Het toernooi werd georganiseerd door de (CAHB) en diende tevens als Afrikaans kwalificatietoernooi voor het wereldkampioenschap handbal vrouwen 2019.
