- Presidential elections were held in Benin on 13 March 2011 after being postponed twice from 27 February and 6 March 2011. Incumbent President Yayi Boni ran for re-election against thirteen other candidates, including former National Assembly head and political veteran Adrien Houngbédji and Abdoulaye Bio-Tchané, president of the West African Development Bank. He won 53.18% of the vote, enough to win a second term without a run-off. It is the first time since the restoration of democracy in Benin that a candidate has won the presidency in a single round. A second round run-off would have been held on 27 March 2011 if it had been necessary. (en)
- Las elecciones presidenciales se llevaron a cabo en Benín el 13 de marzo de 2011, después de haber sido aplazadas el 27 de febrero y el 6 de marzo. El presidente incumbente, Yayi Boni, buscó su reelección, teniendo como principales contrincantes a , del , y a , presidente del Banco de Desarrollo del África Occidental. Boni obtuvo el 53% de los votos, convirtiéndose en el primer Presidente de Benín en obtener mayoría absoluta en primera vuelta, y el primero en ganar la presidencia sin necesidad de balotaje (antes de 1990 no existía la segunda vuelta en Benín). De haber sido necesario, la segunda vuelta se hubiera realizado el 27 de marzo. (es)

- Wybory prezydenckie w Beninie w 2011 roku – wybory na urząd prezydenta Beninu zorganizowane 13 marca 2011, dwukrotnie przekładane z powodu problemów organizacyjnych. Wybory zakończyły się zwycięstwem urzędującego prezydenta Yayi Boniego już w pierwszej turze głosowania. Zdobył on ponad 53% głosów, pokonując wieloletniego lidera opozycji Adriena Houngbédjiego (niecałe 36%). Adrien Houngbédji zakwestionował wyniki wyborów, jednak międzynarodowi obserwatorzy uznali głosowanie za wolne i przejrzyste, pomimo zaistniałych problemów organizacyjnych. (pl)
- Die Präsidentschaftswahlen in Benin 2011 fanden am 13. März 2011 im westafrikanischen Staat Benin statt, nachdem sie zweimal – vom 27. Februar auf den 6. März und schließlich auf den tatsächlichen Termin 13. März – verschoben worden waren. Die Wahlen endeten offiziell mit dem Sieg des Amtsinhabers Boni Yayi. Ein 2. Durchgang – der am 27. März stattgefunden hätte – wurde nicht nötig, da Boni Yayi mehr als 50 % der Stimmen bereits im 1. Durchgang erhalten hatte. Die Opposition sprach von Wahlbetrug. Beobachter der Vereinten Nationen und der Afrikanischen Union bezeichneten die Wahlen jedoch als frei und transparent. (de)
