The 1864–65 United States Senate elections were elections corresponding with Abraham Lincoln's re-election, with the Republican Party gaining two seats in the United States Senate. As these elections occurred during the Civil War, most of the Southern States were absent. As these elections were prior to ratification of the seventeenth amendment, Senators were chosen by state legislatures.
