Tribunal de Cassació (Catalan for Court of Appeal) was the Generalitat of Catalonia's judicial organization during the Second Spanish Republic, founded in 1934, established according to the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia of 1932. It had jurisdiction in matters of administrative and civil law. Catalan was the main language of the Court. Its first President was (Barcelona, 1875 - 1960). On September 1936, after the outbreak of Spanish Civil War, (Montblanc, 1906 - Madrid, 1993) was appointed president of the Court of Appeal.

| - El Tribunal de Cassació de Catalunya fou un organisme judicial de la Generalitat de Catalunya establert per l'Estatut de Núria de 1932, segons preveia en el seu article 12. Tenia «jurisdicció sobre les matèries civils i administratives la legislació exclusiva de les quals estigui atribuïda a la Generalitat» segons l'article 11 de l'Estatut de Núria. Així doncs, tenia jurisdicció última en dret civil i en dret administratiu pel que feia a la legislació autonòmica, així com jurisdicció completa en dret civil català. La llengua vehicular del Tribunal era el català. A diferència del Tribunal de Garanties Constitucionals de la Segona República Espanyola, no tenia competències polítiques. Tampoc tenia competència en àmbit penal perquè la Generalitat de Catalunya no hi tenia competències pròpies. (ca)

In 1939, once Catalonia was occupied by the army of general Franco during the last stages of the Civil War, its regime abolished the Court of Appeal and all of its Court judgments were declared without effect until 1984, five years after the restoration of Catalan self-government.
