Wrist station is a passenger station in the centre of Wrist (in the district of Steinburg) in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is on the Hamburg-Altona–Kiel railway and the now disused . The station is mainly used by commuters. Nearly 500,000 passengers use Wrist station each year. To the south of the station there are numerous parking spaces in the station forecourt, which is also served by some bus routes. Three tracks run through the station next to two platforms. One platform is located next to the entrance building and the other two next to an island platform between the tracks.

Südlich des Bahnhofes stehen zahlreiche Parkplätze zur Verfügung, auf dem Bahnhofsvorplatz verkehren einige Buslinien. 1844 wurde der Bahnhof von der Altona-Neumünster-Kiel Eisenbahngesellschaft (AKE) erbaut. Eröffnet wurde er mit der Bahnstrecke am 18. September 1844. 1889 wurde der Bahnhof an die inzwischen stillgelegte Bahnstrecke Wrist–Itzehoe angeschlossen. Von 1880 bis 1895 wurde das Empfangsgebäude des Bahnhofs umgebaut. Um den Bahnhof entwickelte sich dann im Laufe der Jahre die Eisenbahnsiedlung Wrist. Die Eisenbahn hatte großen wirtschaftlichen Einfluss auf die Gemeinde, was unter anderem zur Zusammenführung von Wrist mit der älteren Nachbargemeinde Stellau führte, unter Beibehaltung des Namens Wrist. Der Personenverkehr nach Itzehoe wurde 1975 eingestellt, der restliche Güterverkehr nach Kellinghusen 1995.2014/15 wurde der Gleisstummel der Strecke nach Itzehoe erneuert und mit Oberleitung versehen, er dient als Abstellgleis für die Züge der seit Dezember 2014 in Wrist endenden Linie RB71. Durch den Bahnhof verlaufen drei Gleise, die durch zwei Bahnsteige erschlossen sind. Ein Bahnsteig liegt am Empfangsgebäude, die beiden anderen als Mittelbahnsteig zwischen den Gleisen. Vom Überholgleis zweigt das Abstellgleis für die Züge der RB71 ab. Das Bahnhofsgebäude stand 2012 zum Verkauf, da es für den Betrieb nicht mehr benötigt wird. 2019 ist es verkauft worden und wird privat genutzt. (de)

The station was built by the Altona-Kiel Railway Company (Altona-Kieler Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, AKE) in 1844. It was opened with the railway line on 18 September 1844. The station was connected to the now disused Itzehoe-Wrist railway in 1889. The entrance hall of the station was rebuilt between 1880 and 1895. The railway settlement of Wrist then developed around the station over the years. The railway had a major economic impact on the community, which among other things, led Wrist to merge with the older neighbouring community of Stellau under the same name of Wrist. Three tracks run through the station next to two platforms. One platform is located next to the entrance building and the other two next to an island platform between the tracks. The station building is for sale because it is no longer needed for operations. (en)
