Tripolis on the Meander (Greek: Τρίπολις, Eth. Greek: Τριπολίτης, Latin: Tripolis ad Maeandrum) – also Neapolis (Greek: Νεάπολις), Apollonia (Greek: Απολλωνία), and Antoniopolis (Greek: Αντωνιόπολις)– was an ancient city on the borders of Phrygia, Caria and Lydia, on the northern bank of the upper course of the Maeander, and on the road leading from Sardes by Philadelphia to Laodicea ad Lycum. (It. Ant. p. 336; Tab. Peut.) It was situated 20 km to the northwest of Hierapolis.

(ru) Tripolis (en grec: Τρίπολις, Τριπολίτης); també anomenada Neapolis, Apollonia i Antoninopolis) va ser un antiga ciutat de Frígia (també atribuïda a Cària o a Lídia), al nord del riu Menderes, en el camí que anava des de Sardes, passant per Filadèlfia fins a Laodicea del Licos. Estava situada a uns 20 km al nord-oest de Hieràpolis de Frígia, i fou esmentada per Plini el Vell (v. 30), que la qualifica de ciutat de . Tolomeu (v. 2. § 18) i Esteve de Bizanci la descriuen com una ciutat de Cària, i posteriorment (s. V), s'esmenta que durant un temps fou anomenada Neapolis. Plini el Vell afirma que Apollonia fou un nom alternatiu de la ciutat. En l'antiguitat, la ciutat emeté monedes amb el nom de la divinitat Leto. Encara resten ruïnes de la ciutat prop de la ciutat turca de Yenicekent, tot i q (ca) Η Τρίπολις ήταν αρχαία πόλη της Φρυγίας της Μικράς Ασίας. Βρισκόταν στα σύνορα με τη Λυδία και την Καρία. Ήταν κτισμένη στη βόρεια όχθη του άνω ρου του ποταμού Μαιάνδρου, πάνω στην εμπορική οδό που ένωνε τις Σάρδεις με τη Φιλαδέλφεια έως τη Λαοδίκεια. Βρισκόταν περίπου 20 χιλιόμετρα βορειοδυτικά της Ιεραπόλεως και ο Πλίνιος την ανέφερε ως λυδική πόλη, με το όνομα Απολλωνία, περιβρεχόμενη από τον Μαίανδρο ποταμό. Αντίθετα ο Στέφανος ο Βυζάντιος και ο Κλαύδιος Πτολεμαίος την τοποθετούν στην Καρία, με την ονομασία Νεάπολις. Η φρυγική Τρίπολις έκοψε στην αρχαιότητα νομίσματα με την κεφαλή της Λητούς.
