Samseong mythology is a mythology originated in the Tamna, present-day Jeju island, which is different from Dangun mythology in Korean peninsula. There are following descriptions in Yeong Ju Ji (Korean: 영주지; Hanja: 瀛州誌), Goryeosa, Nasanok (Korean: 나사녹; Hanja: 南槎録）and Tamnaraji (Korean: 탐[나라]지; Hanja: 耽羅志). Also in Goryeosa, Nasanok (Korean: 나사녹; Hanja: 南槎録), and Tamnaraji (Korean: 탐[나라]지; Hanja: 耽羅志), Byeoknangguk (Korean: 벽낭; Hanja: 碧浪国) was explained as Japan and a girl who come from that country.
