The Safsaf massacre took place on 29 October 1948, following the capture of the Palestinian Arab village of Safsaf in the Galilee by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The village was defended by the Arab Liberation Army's Second Yarmuk Battalion.

(en) Pembantaian Safsaf terjadi pada 29 Oktober 1948, ketika Pasukan Pertahanan Israel (IDF) merebut desa Arab Palestina di Safsaf, Galilea. Desa tersebut dipertahankan oleh Batalion Yarmuk Kedua Tentara Pembebasan Arab. (in) Le Massacre de Safsaf a eu lieu la nuit du 29 octobre au 30 octobre 1948, au cours de l'Opération Hiram. Des brigades israéliennes capturèrent le village de (en) (Palestine) qui était défendu par le 2e bataillon Yarmuk de l'Armée de libération arabe. Entre 50 et 70 Arabes furent tuées. Le village a été attaqué au cours de la soirée du 29 octobre. La bataille dura toute la nuit, jusqu'au lendemain matin. Les assaillants se sont vu infliger de lourdes pertes par les défenseurs du village. Safsaf fut le premier village à tomber lors de l'Opération Hiram. (fr)
