Roy Nutt (October 20, 1930 – June 14, 1990) was an American businessman and computer pioneer. He was a co-creator of Fortran and co-founded Computer Sciences Corporation.

Nascido em Marlborough, Massachusetts, Roy Nutt cresceu em Glastonbury, Connecticut. Graduou-se em 1953 com bacharel em matemática no Trinity College em Hartford, Connecticut. Pioneiro da industria do Software da década de 1950, Roy Nutt foi um dos principais contribuintes para a criação do FORTRAN da IBM, a linguagem de programação de baixo nível. Parte da equipe do projeto FORTRAN, ele foi responsável pelo desenvolvimento do comando de computador FORMAT, que controla os dados de entrada(input).
