Otakar Hromádko (30 August 1909 in Kněž, district Čáslav, Austria-Hungary – 14 April 1983 in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland) was a Czechoslovak journalist and army officer. Although he spent first half of his life fighting for communist ideals later became a victim of communist purges and a political émigré. Hromádko spent almost 10 years of his life in prisons, labour camps and detention camps under different regimes and in different countries. Later, in 1982, he published a book of memoirs focused mostly on his prison experience and disillusionment from revolutions.

Od mládí bojoval za komunistické ideály, za které byl i odsouzen, aby se později stal obětí komunistických čistek a politickým emigrantem. Bojoval jako dobrovolník v Interbrigádách ve Španělské občanské válce (kde byl raněn) a ve francouzském protinacistickém odboji během druhé světové války. Po druhé světové válce se vrátil do Československa a podílel se na budování Komunistické strany Československa. (cs)
