| - غرفة شئون المرأة بميانمار هي منظمة غير حكومية مقرها في بورما وتهدف أساسيًا إلى تعزيز المرأة في بورما وكذلك إضفاء التطور على أنشطتها. تم تقدير الجهود التي تقوم بها المنظمة من الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة الصندوق العالمي للطبيعة وكذلك منظمة التعاون الإقليمي الآسيوي لمنع الإتجار بالبشر ومنظمة الآسيان بالإضافة إلى منظمة شئون المرأة الصينية. تم تضمينها كمنظمة غير حكومية ذات مرحعية حكومية، ولذلك مثلت نقد شديد اللهجة للسيدة أونع ساو كي، رئيسة الوزراء البورمية، وذلك لأن كانت تدار بواسطة زوجات الرجال في المناصب الرسمية في بورما. تأسست المنظمة في يوم 20 من شهر ديسمبر لعام 2003 وذلك لغرض التمكين الكامل لهن للمشاركة في التنمية الوطنية. تعتبر منظمة مجتمع مدني غير هادفة للربح وتهدف للتمكين الشامل للمرأة بغض النظر عن أي اعتبارات متعلقة بالحنسية أو الانتماءات العرقية أو الدينية. تحدد أهداف المنظمة في الأهداف التالية: دعم الدور النسوي في إعادة بناء أمة حديثة ومتطورة وقائمة على السلام. الدفع عن حقوق المرأة. توفير ضمانات لتعزبز الاقتصاد والصحة والتعليم ورفاهية المرأة بشكل عام واتخاذ قرارات تعمل على ضمان أمانهن. العمل على غرس تقدير أعمق داخل النساء نحو تراثهم وعادتهن وتقاليدهن. حماية المرأة بشكل منظم من العنف، وتوفير إعادة التأهيل في الحالات الماسة. الحد من الإتجار بالنساء والقصّر ومحاولة حل القضية جذريًا كواجب وطني. التعاون مع المنظمات الدولية والمحلية، مع أخد العادات والتقاليد المحلية في الاعتبار، في محاولة ضمان حقوق المرأة. عقدت ورشة العمل الأولى التي نظمتها المنظمة في يوم 24 نوفمبر 2016 وذلك لمناقشة قضية الإتجار بالبشر، كما تم تنظيم عدد من المحادثات والحلسات الحوارية حول الإتجار في البشر. - Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation (မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအမျိုးသမီးရေးရာအဖွဲ့ချုပ်) is a non-governmental organisation based in Myanmar in promoting the welfare and advancement of Burmese women. This organisation is noticed by UN, WWF, Asia Regional Cooperation to Prevent People Trafficking (ARCPPT), and ASEAN, China Women Affair Organization. It has been listed as a GONGO for being a harsh critic of Aung San Suu Kyi and is purportedly ruled by wives of the Burmese junta. The organisation was formed 20 December 2003 with the aim to enable them to participate fully in its national development. It is a voluntary non-governmental organisation for the advancement of all women, regardless of nationality, race or religion. The Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation has the following objectives: 1.
* To enhance the role of women in the reconstruction of a peaceful, modern and developed nation. 2.
* To protect the rights of women. 3.
* To ensure better economy, health, education and general welfare of women and to take measures for their life security. 4.
* To instill and foster in women a greater appreciation of their cultural heritage, traditions and customs. 5.
* To systematically protect women from violence and provide means for rehabilitation where necessary. 6.
* To diminish and finally eliminate trafficking in women and children as a national task. 7.
* To collaborate with international as well as local organisations, in ensuring the rights of women in accordance with the local traditions and customs. The first workshop organised by MWAF on Trafficking in Persons was held 24 November 2006. MWAF has also held educative talks on the prevention of Trafficking in Persons. (en)
