Monstera dubia is a species of plant in the genus Monstera native to Central and South America. M. dubia is known for the dramatic transformation its foliage makes as it climbs from seed stage on the forest floor, to shingling closely up a host tree trunk or other surface, until mature leaves with fenestrations similar to Monstera deliciosa appear. This transformation is an example of leaf dimorphism. Dubia refers to dubious, because authors were not certain that the species fell within the genus Marcgravia, where it was initially placed.

Kenmerkend voor deze plant is de extreme gedaantewisseling van jeugdblad tot volwassen blad, waardoor sprake is van bladdimorfie. De jonge bladeren zijn heel met zilveren ornamenten langs de aderen, ouder zijn ze groen en worden ze geperforeerd. De lichte delen uit het jeugdblad maken plaats voor de ruime gaten in het volwassen blad. Van alle monstera's is het de grootste soort. Volwassen dubia's hebben bladeren vanaf 30 centimeter en kunnen groeien tot ongeveer 130 centimeter. Monstera dubia is een zeldzame soort en wordt hierdoor zelden als kamerplant gehouden. In huis groeit het graag tegen een stok bekleed met spagnum of boomschors aan.
