  • Scríbhneoir Éireannach ab ea Mary Anne Madden Sadlier (31 Nollaig 1820–5 Aibreán 1903). Foilsíodh tuairim is seasca úrscéal agus roinnt mhaith scéalta níos giorra óna peann. Scríobh sí do na himircí Éireannacha sna Stáit Aontaithe agus Ceanada, á spreagadh chun cloí leis an gcreideamh Caitliceach. Agus an sprioc sin á chur i bhfeidhm, phléigh sí téamaí gaolmhara mar an frith-Chaitliceachas, an Gorta Mór, an eisimirce agus an tseirbhís tí. Scríobh sí go minic faoin ainm "Mrs. J. Sadlier". (ga)
