This is a list of the bird species recorded in Germany. The avifauna of Germany include a total of 550 confirmed species as of October 2022, according to Club 300, a German birdwatching association, with supplemental additions from Avibase. One species, greater rhea, has been added from another source. Of the 548 species, 15 have been introduced by humans. Two species have been extirpated and none are endemic. The following tags have been used to highlight some categories of occurrence; the tags are from Bird Checklists of the World.
