| - Les Kriegslokomotiven ou locomotives de guerre ont été produites en grand nombre en Allemagne au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, puis jusqu'en 1949 dans les zones d'occupation britannique, américaine et française. Leur construction avait été adaptée aux conditions difficiles de cette époque, avec la pénurie de matériaux, la nécessité de transporter de grandes quantités de marchandises pour la logistique militaire, les conditions difficiles de la maintenance, les conditions météorologiques extrêmes. La nécessité de production de masse rapide et bon marché conduisait parfois à des consommations de carburant relativement élevées. (fr)
- Kriegslokomotive var tyska lok som byggdes i stora serier under andra världskriget. Konstruktionen av dessa lok var avpassad för den krigstida tyska ekonomin med materialbrist, behov av transport av förnödenheter på östfronten, användning i hårt klimat och snabb serieproduktion, detta innebar ofta nackdelar som hög bränsleförbrukning. Då koppar var en bristvara så konstruerades både ellok och ånglok om för att minska användningen. - Kriegslokomotive ist die gängige Bezeichnung für Lokomotiven, deren Konstruktion speziell auf die wirtschaftlichen Bedingungen eines Krieges, wie Materialknappheit, einfachste Wartung unter schwierigen Bedingungen, Unempfindlichkeit gegenüber extremen Witterungsbedingungen sowie schnelle und kostengünstige Produktion in großen Stückzahlen ausgerichtet war. Hinzu kam die Verwendbarkeit auf einfachen, wenig belastbaren oder sogar nur provisorischen Strecken. - Военные паровозы или Кригслокомотивы (нем. Kriegslokomotive), также ещё известные как паровозы-солдаты или паровозы без роскоши, по сравнению с обычными серийными паровозами имели упрощённую конструкцию, что позволяло наладить их крупносерийное производство при сложных экономических условиях военного времени. На военных паровозах вместо дорогих меди и бронзы, а также легированных сталей, использовалась обычная углеродистая сталь, а допуски при сборке были существенно свободнее. Всё это позволяло снизить себестоимость и время производства данных паровозов.
