Juan Francisco García (born June 16, 1892 - November 18, 1974) was a Dominican merengue composer. He was one of several merengue musicians who sought to promote the genre in the early 20th century, along with Juan Espínola and Julio Alberto Hernández. Garcia was an educated musician who brought merengue to the upper-class of the country.

García hatte Kornettunterricht bei José Ovidio García und erlernte autodidaktische das Cello- und Klavierspiel. 1925 unternahm er als Klavierbegleiter des Sängers Susano Polanco eine Reise durch Kuba. Hier lernte er den Lyriker Nicolás Guillén kennen, dessen Gedicht Espejo er vertonte. Es wurde noch während der Konzertreise aufgeführt und 1930 von Eduardo Brito in New York aufgenommen. (de)
